Mykonian Honey Pie

Ingredients: 
For the crust: 2½  teacups flour for all purpose 1 tsp. salt 1/2 teacup olive oil 5-6 tbsp. warm water (or as much as it takes), 1 packet yeast

For the Filling: 650 grams (1½  lb.) soft Myzithra or Ricotta cheese 3 eggs, lightly beaten 1/2 teacup honey 1/2 teacup sugar a pinch of salt 1/2 teacup milk 3 tbsp., vanilla,  grated 1 tbsp. ground cinnamon

1/2 teacup honey and sesame seeds for topping

Preheat the oven to 350F degrees / 200°C.

     

 

Mykonian Onion Pie       

Ingredients: 

For the crust:  2½  teacups flour for all purpose 1 tsp. salt 1/2 teacup olive oil 5-6 tbsp. warm water (or as much as it takes), 1 packet yeast

For the filling: 650 grams (1½  lb.) soft Myzithra or Ricotta cheese 3 eggs, 2 tbsp oil , half a bunch dill, a large onion,  pieces of butter

Preheat the oven to 350F degrees / 200°C.

Ingredients:

For the crust: 300 g. flour, 150 g.  butter, 150 g. sugar, 2 egg yolks
 lemon zest

For the filling:300 g. almond crumb, 500 g. sugar, 7 eggs, little nut threshed, cinnamon and clove crushed

 Mix all the ingredients of the dough in a bowl, after sieving the flour and melting the butter. Knead well, creating a soft dough. In another pan mix the ingredients for the filling. Put the dough into ramekins and add the filling, which must reach up to just below the edge of the form, because it will rise during baking. Bake in a moderate oven until golden brown.
